Personal Approach
Our approach to servicing your car is based on developing and maintaining a long-term, healthy relationship with you, the customer. Our business is set up so that we can provide all the service you need for the lifetime of your car (except body work). We want to take on the most complex and challenging work that your car throws our way, from transmissions to engines to electronics and computer issues, but we also want you to come to us for the basics, like oil changes, tires & exhaust. Poorly performed routine maintenance can do a lot of damage to your car: we'll prevent that from happening.
We are pleased to work on all of your cars, from that exotic import to the basic family mini-van. We also do specialty work on antique automobiles and motorcycles. We have earned a strong reputation for being creative problem-solvers. We bring this broad skill base to every vehicle that comes into our shop, regardless of how now or old it is or how many wheels it has.
Comprehensive No-Charge Vehicle Evaluation
We take the time to conduct a thorough bumper-to-bumper Vehicle Evaluation when your car arrives for service. This allows us to approach your car with a complete understanding of how it's running and what its needs are, both short and long term. We then advise you what all this means for you and your car. We work hard to make sure you understand what we find "under the hood," and that you are fully educated so you can make the correct decisions about maintaining you car.
Most shops will charge for this sort of comprehensive evaluation. We believe this Vehicle Evaluation is an essential element of customer service and that it is the only way we can service your car properly and thoroughly.
Careful Diagnostics
Good automotive diagnostics depends on both quality, up-to-date computer diagnostic equipment, and darn smart technicians. The computers don't tell the whole story. They can point us in the right direction but it takes a smart, experienced, well trained technician to draw the right conclusions.
At Bruce Beard Automotive, we have the right tools and we have the right techs. If you have a problem with your car, we have the ability to figure it out.
State of the Art Shop and Equipment
Our shop is stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and we can do jobs that are not available elsewhere on the island. Our tire machine is second to none and gives us the ability to properly mount the most expensive and unusual tires.
Quality Parts
We use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts whenever they are to your advantage. At times, depending on the car and the job, we will recommend after-market parts. We do not believe it makes sense to spend a lot of time removing old and installing new components, only to put inferior or unnecessary parts in your car. Our goal is to keep your car running far better for a much longer period of time. We think it's the only way to go.
Warranty
We provide a 12-month unlimited mileage warranty on all parts and labor, unless stated otherwise.
We can provide our customers with quality warranty extension insurance, and road hazard waranty plans for wheels and tires, for cars, motorcycles and scooters.
Communication with the Customer
We understand that being without your car while it is being repaired is inconvenient. We will work on your car when we say we will, and we will do our best to keep the job on schedule so we can return it to you when we promised it. If we do run into any unforeseen difficulty that may affect our work schedule or the cost of the repair, we will contact you promptly. We will communicate with you by phone or e-mail, however you prefer.
Rental Cars
If you need a rental car while yours is in the shop, we will make arrangements for you so all you have to do is sign the paperwork and go.
Rides
We can often provide you with a ride into town when you drop off or pick up your car. Let us know in advance if you need a ride and we will let you know if it can be arranged.
